Hermosillo, Sonora May 14, 2011 .- With a turnout of almost 300 nurses took out for the first time, the massive ongoing CPR, which aimed to train health personnel in this process that saves lives. The workshop
specialists from all health institutions, including the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS), Institute of Security and Social Services Workers Sonora (ISSSTESON) and Ministry of Health of Sonora.
Manuel Quiroz, Head of Nursing State Health Department, said that was attended by about 20 certified instructors who explained step by step system for cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
The course lasted four hours and had 100 mannequins that were used to implement the strategy of CPR. Attendees learned from the way they should place their hands on the patient's chest to techniques that improve chances of survival of the patient.
This course was conducted as part of the activities of International Nursing Week, which took place from 9 to 13 May to commemorate the 12th May: International Nurses Day.
in Sonora for 35% of health sector personnel are in the nursing field, as it has a record of 8 000 nurses of which 3 000 290 are the Mexican Social Security Institute and 2 000 900 from the Ministry of Health , 620 private sector and about 600 of ISSSTESON.
